Research, business case and funding bid development
We undertake data research to inform business case development. This includes primary and secondary research. Set alongside best practice and relevant policy, we draw conclusions for next steps. We develop feasibility studies and offer financial analysis. We are experts on European Regional Development Fund projects – both developing the applications and business cases – and their delivery.
Judith worked with us for six months to deliver two, concurrent, research projects (mapping business support available and required in the South East Midlands) that required careful planning and co-ordination of multiple contributors and high levels of tact and insight to ensure buy-in from the various stakeholders and that the work was completed on time. The resulting report not only laid the foundations for our own business support strategy but was also recommended by Government to growth hubs around the country as an example of best practice, for which Judith rightfully received all of the credit.

Project management, delivery, review and evaluations
As PRINCE 2 Practitioners, we are reliable project managers. We offer experience and insight into project development to maximise impact and minimise risks. We undertake critical friend reviews of draft funding bids. We offer support during a tight bid development timeline. We undertake project reviews – both processes and impact of the project – drawing out the successes and making recommendations for improvement.
Judith is a first class project manager, certificated and fully proficient in Prince2 methodologies, and has the rare ability to inject a huge dose of pragmatism, practicality and can do attitude into any project. Her wealth of practical as well as theoretical experience in most aspects of economic development, community engagement and business support is highly impressive. She is very personable , enabling her to take people with her to achieve the desired outcomes on a wide range of projects, directly delivered or managed through others.
Steve McAteer, Deyton Bell working on Innovation Bridge in Bedfordshire
Judith has been extremely effective – taking on and rapidly turning around an under-performing location. She has consistently provided dedication and significant added-value, mobilising a range of approaches and new and existing relationships to tackle some very demanding programme targets. It’s been great to work with Judith and I’d have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to others.

Stakeholder engagement and facilitation
Successful relationship management is key to partnerships and we support this to embed these approaches, alongside the information technology systems. We aim to engage far more than a customer relationship and work with people in detail to capture their views, their ideas and priorities which can so often feed into effective business growth.
I have worked with Judith on several projects, all of which have been very successful. Judith very quickly grasps both the purpose of an individual project and the detail. She is very good at perceptive questioning and listening to the answers. She delivers high quality work on time and within budget. She is also very good at stakeholder holder management. One potentially very difficult client praised her personable approach and quick understanding of issues. She is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to many more projects with her.
Elizabeth Oxborrow-Cowan, Elizabeth Oxborrow-Cowan Associates Ltd reflecting on work with The National Archives and the Richard DeMarco Archive in 2014
It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Judith over the last few months, as she led a project to research and map the complex business support landscape in the locality. She led a series of events to engage key stakeholders – but public and private sector – which really brought to life her findings and recommendations on how to help business to navigate a very complex offering. Judith is impressive, insightful and a pleasure to work with.
