What’s our background?

We all work with businesses and business facing organisations every day.

Judith started her career in social housing and community development working in a host of diverse locations from London to the Black Country, West Oxfordshire and Cambridge. She sits on the Service Delivery Committee of a local housing association. The connection of housing to economic growth is a long standing interest.

Working at the East of England Development Agency from 2000 she worked in economic development, delivering funding programmes to achieve local outcomes. Judith lead the development of the Investing in Communities programme amounting to £25M per year at its peak.  She lead the national Regional Development Agency team in negotiations with DEFRA during the Modernising Rural Delivery programme in 2003-6, chairing the national Regional Development Agency meetings in rural affairs and sustainable development. She managed the national officer team which resulted in over 100 staff and millions of pounds of funds moving towards RDAs.

Judith became self employed in 2008 and has enjoyed an exciting array of research, project management and engagement commissions for over 20 clients.

Judith is married with 3 wonderful sons.  She is a parent representative on Central Bedfordshire SNAP – Special Needs Action Panel – to enable parents and carers of children with special educational needs to influence health and education services.

Katie Bavester – Bavester Associates

Katie Bavester, Bavester AssociatesKatie Bavester has over 15 years of experience in strategic planning and marketing as well as stakeholder and project management. She is passionate about building business relationships that deliver positive benefits to all parties involved and which maximise delivery outcomes.

Katie has worked in both the public and private sector. Her career has seen her gain experience in education, advertising and marketing, economic development working in sectors including agriculture and food processing, hospitality and tourism and creative industries, culture and sport.

From 2005 to October 2012 Katie was the Regional Project Manager for the London 2012 Games. She led an extensive programme of delivery working with multiple stakeholders from the public, private and third sector to maximise economic and social impact from the Games in the East of England. She is currently working with England and Wales Cricket Board and a group of nine major and minor county cricket boards, Cambridgeshire Cricket Limited, Suffolk County Council and Abbeycroft Leisure.

Katie is adept at building strategic partnerships and is confident in establishing and managing complex programmes. She is a confident communicator and has expertise in facilitation and consultation. Katie is a qualified PRINCE 2 practitioner.
